“I’d never seen an orchestra play before, it was really magical.” Koala class (aged 9)

Children’s Concerts is a charity which aims to give thousands of primary-aged school children the opportunity to hear what a classical orchestra can do ‘live’.  For many children this will be the first time they hear and see a great group of musicians playing compositions by some of the world’s greatest composers, both old and new, in a concert hall.

These annual concerts, founded in 1994 by Elizabeth Gotto, have been made possible thanks to the support of John Lewis, the Bedhampton Charitable Trust, the Foyle Foundation, the Colles Trust, the Boltini Trust, Hampshire District Council, Guildford Borough Council, Petersfield Town Council, the Humphrey Richardson Taylor Charitable Trust and many other generous donors in Hampshire, Surrey and West Sussex. Children’s Concerts also acknowledges with gratitude the recent grant of financial support from the Sussex Community Foundation towards our aim of ensuring access to our concerts for all children, regardless of their social and financial circumstances.

Children’s Concerts is registered with the UK Charity Commission (1189148).
